Farah Salahuddin, MD, (pronounced Salah' din) is board-certified in rheumatology and internal medicine. She is the founder at Rheum Without Walls, serving people living in and around Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Salinas, Carmel by the Sea, and Monterey, California.

Rheum Without Walls was born from her unique vision and desire to continuously move in the direction of patient-centric care, transparency in health care, and bridging health in-equities. Dr. Salahuddin completed her fellowship in rheumatology in 2015 at David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to that, she was a teaching faculty at MedStar Health/University of Maryland In Baltimore. 

Dr. Salahuddin has spent the past five years working across Northern California until she settled down in Santa Cruz County in 2019. Her employment experience inside both closed health care systems and independent practice settings gave her the unique perspective to see through the shifting lens of our health care landscape. Her focus is simple. To move from fee-for-service to a value-based model of care while maintaining physician autonomy.

Tyler Dickerson is a clinical herbalist at Rheum Without Walls, located in Santa Cruz and Watsonville, California. Tyler is committed to integrating traditional plant medicine with modern wellness practices. 

Specializing in autoimmune and rheumatologic conditions, Tyler provides personalized, plant-based protocols designed to help clients manage chronic inflammation, immune dysfunction, and related health challenges. His holistic approach focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of imbalance while tailoring solutions to meet each client's unique needs and wellness goals. 

Tyler's work emphasizes improving quality of life, supporting the body's natural healing processes, and fostering resilience in harmony with conventional medical care. Beyond his clinical practice, Tyler is a passionate educator in herbal medicine. He empowers clients with the knowledge and tools they need to take charge of their health and achieve sustainable well-being.

With a deep understanding of herbal medicine and its role in modern healthcare, Tyler continues to bridge the gap between tradition and innovation, helping clients achieve meaningful, long-term wellness outcomes.

All consultations are direct pay and HSA/FSA eligible. Insurances do not cover herbalism. Please book directly.

Dr. Eugene Santillano is a dual board-certified expert in Addiction Medicine and Family Medicine. He has over two decades of frontline primary care experience and a decade dedicated to guiding patients through the complexities of addiction recovery. His child-of-origin story begins with his father's alcohol addiction, punctuated with the loss of his younger brother on the streets of San Francisco due to fentanyl. He is committed to breaking barriers in addiction treatment by expanding access to compassionate and evidence-based care.

Dr. Santillano specializes in personalized Medication for Addiction Treatment (MAT) to support mental health recovery. His unwavering mission is to challenge stigma, reduce implicit bias in healthcare, and empower patients and providers with the tools they need for compassionate transformation.

Dr. Santillano is helping patients recognize that addiction is a complex chronic disease rooted in trauma and learned coping behaviors—not a moral failing. Our approach focuses on removing stigma and shame, enabling clients to engage fully in their recovery journey.
